I grew HSO's Sour Diesel #2 in 2017 and liked it so much I've grown it again this year in 2018. I germinated two feminized seeds in mid-April 2017, and trained them both variously, using topping, LST, tying down, and supercropping. Harvest was on October 12. This year, the start and harvest dates were about the same, but in 2018 I simply let two plants grow undisturbed. Given the right soil and water, this strain is easy. They simply grew themselves （meaning I was not around much to fret and fiddle）. They were very happy in 15 gal fabric pots of supersoil and did very well on an automatic watering timer on my balcony. I left them there in mid-June and returned on October 10 to find them 6 and 7 feet tall and ready to harvest! I can say from experience that all 4 plants I've grown over these two seasons （one seed out of a package of 5 seeds failed） have been remarkably similar and that I noticed no phenotypes.

The taste and effect are what made Sour Diesel #2 a favorite strain of mine, and now I want to try out other breeders' versions of sour diesel as well. The high from the HSO Sour Diesel buds hits almost immediately, uplifting and exhilarating and energizing for the first hour, then a calming feeling sets in. Used in the early evening, it does not interfere with going to sleep later. After a good long cure in jars, the taste of the smoke is smooth and easy. The smell of the buds is sweet diesel.
