Apparently, I was very lucky when I was gifted a sick little seedling of Fallen Angel a few months ago. I have never heard of this strain so I didn’t expect much. Turns out it’s some of the best weed I have ever smoked – definitely among my absolute favorites!

The plant itself takes its time to veg but it makes up for it by being extremely robust, healthy and beautiful with tight internodal spacing, big, dark-green leaves and deep-red leaf stalks.

If left uncut it grows like a picture book indica with solid side branches that are just long enough to get the right amount of light. When topped it branches out nicely and evenly. She also is a fast and reliable cloner （about 10 days in a bubble-cloner）.

During flowering she stretches quite a bit, almost doubling in size. The flower and trichome development sets in fast and doesn’t slow down until the plant reaches its full potential between week 8 and 9. The buds expand quickly and massively and soon look like tightly stacked towers of swollen calyxes that only occasionally are interspersed with leaves, making it a very easy-to-trim plant that produces a shitload of highest quality weed.

Now, what makes this plant special isn’t its superb growing behaviour but its unique and blasting aroma, that is indicated early on, considering even a light stem rub in early veg gives you a loud, dark, pungent, pissy-sour, almost poisonous smell.

This smell carries through until the end, only getting more and more pronounced – simply put: it reeks!!! It’s a dark, deep, slightly bitter, earthy, mossy muskyness, accompanied by hints of burnt rubber, fuel and licorice, all wrapped up in loud and pungent acidic piney sourness. If you let her go 70 days, the smell and taste become a little heavier and more 'gassy' and the smoke/vapour will surprise you with subtile notes of blackberrys. It really is a perfect blend of OG fuel funk and old school road kill skunkyness. Spectacular!

The smell perfectly translates to the taste, which is just as intense. While the inhale lets you experience the very essence of that old school skunkyness, the exhale is all OG, a fuely, funky sourness that is lingering on your pallet for minutes and lets you room smell like its floor is completely covered in stinky buds.

Although not quite as potent as real-deal OGs it still knocks you out cold if you smoke too much （which happens regularly because it’s so delicious!）. The high sets in immediately and equally affects body and mind. It’s a very strong all-around stone that numbs your body and let’s you space out without the slightest bit of racyness or paranoia. Super nice!

Since I can only comment on one plant I cannot tell whether it’s the strain itself or if I just got very, very lucky with my pheno （or maybe I got unlucky and there are even better ones;））. But since I also grew DHSs Strawberry Sour Diesel, which is not only excellent as well but is also very consistent, I tend to think the same might be true for Fallen Angel.
